Glasgow South East Police’s community team, trading standards officers from Glasgow City Council, and tobacco detection dogs Dixie and Daisy found the haul – which represents more than £10,000 in unpaid excise duty – at the end of last week.
Last week it was revealed that tobacco manufacturer Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has launched a free-to-use online tool that allows retailers to gauge the amount of illicit tobacco being sold in their area.
