A range of ingredients used to make traditional ‘mithai’ sweets are also available, including: Co-op Whole Almonds 100g at £1.39, Co-op Cashew Nuts 100g at £2.35, Co-op Desiccated Coconut 200g at £1.45, and Whitworths Chopped Dates 250g at £1.79.
Hannah Goodwin, seasonal manager at Nisa, said: “The Festival of Lights, which takes place over five days and includes the focal night of Diwali, is a colourful and vibrant family affair that involves a host of traditional foods.
