Nisa’s retail academy, which offers training guidance for retailers and their staff, is being enhanced to provide a “far more interactive and interesting” experience.

Delivered in partnership with the Co-op, the updated e-learning platform is being introduced this month and will drastically improve the quality of retail learning.

Emma Brock, learning and development manager at Nisa, said: “The new platform has been trialed by a number of Nisa retailers and their feedback has been helpful. It is a far more interactive and interesting experience and very simple to navigate.”

The academy, which is part of Nisa membership, ensures store staff have the very latest information on relevant practices, legislation and retailing knowledge.

The collaboration between the learning and development teams at Nisa and the Co-op will give Nisa partners access to a “new and fresher style of training”.

It is supported by the Co-op’s legal and risk teams so will always provide guidance on the very latest legislation.

All data from the previously platform will be “migrated” over to the new one meaning no accounts will need setting up, no training will need repeating and no previously stored information will be lost.

Retailers are now being invited to visit the retail academy stand at the virtual Nisa Expo where they will get the opportunity to have a guided tour of the new e-learning platform and ask questions.
