Spicy flavour added to KP Nuts portfolio

KP Snacks is set to launch a Thai-inspired variant for its KP Nuts brand, in a move designed to “capitalise on the growing trend of flavoured and coated nuts”.

KP Aromatic Thai Chilli Coated Peanuts will be available from 1 March in a 55g £1 price-marked pack, featuring peanuts with a chilli-flavoured crispy outer shell.

The nuts will also be available as part of a month-long “2 for £1.50” promotion running across the entire £1 price-marked nuts portfolio.

KP said the new launch aims to attract younger consumers looking for coated nuts as a snacking option, as well as drive sales within the impulse and convenience channel.

Jennifer Blanco Barcia, marketing manager at KP Snacks, says the launch meets the “texture needs that exist within the impulse channel today”.
