Vegan KitKat to launch later this year

Nestlé Confectionery is set to launch a vegan KitKat later this year, featuring “smooth chocolate blended with plant-based ingredients to perfectly balance the brand’s trademark crisp wafer”.

Alex Gonnella, marketing director for Nestlé Confectionery, said: “We have seen an incredible response to our vegan friendly Fruit Pastilles since their launch last year, so we know how much people want to enjoy alternative versions of their favourite treats.

“The most common request we see on social media is for a vegan KitKat, so we are delighted to be able to make that wish come true.

“There is a quiet food revolution underway that is changing how people eat. We want to be at the forefront of that, championing the discovery of plant-based food and beverages.”
