The launch retails at £1.50 and will “create nostalgia among parents buying for their own children’s lunches”.
Brand owner Kerry Foods said the overall snacking category has seen an 8& increase in sales this year, as more consumer turn to at-home snacking.
As part of this, cheese remains an “essential” fridge snacking item, with total cheese snacking growing by 45%.
The company said Cheestring Pizza is set to hit a rate-of-sale performance in line with the popular Twisted Cheestring range, demonstrating the capability of limited- edition products to drive sales for retailers.
Melissa Sargeant, brand manager at Strings & Things, said: “We are so excited to continue celebrating the 25th birthday of Strings & Things by re-launching an absolute classic, Cheestrings Pizza.
“Pizza shoppers are new to cheese snacks and 40% of shoppers have added the product to their baskets already.”
