The new bottle retails at £30.49 and features a “block-colour” bottle with an opaque wrap.

The variant is available to the convenience and wholesale market now as well a new Red Label, which retails at £23.99 and is available from Booker and Spar.

The brand said that while the whisky “remains unchanged”, the new designs “radically reimagine the brand’s ‘Keep Walking’ mantra, celebrating the boundary-pushing spirit that has been at the heart of the brand since its founder John Walker first opened the doors to a small grocery store in Kilmarnock, Scotland 200 years ago”.

Ali Reynolds, Johnnie Walker brand ambassador, said: “This striking new design is sure to stand-out on shelf and appeal to both enthusiasts and those who are new to the Scotch scene.

“The new bottles also make an ideal option for gifting occasions as we showcase the innovative brand ethos and open the doors to a new generation of whisky drinkers.”
