Kettle Chips is rolling out its Steakhouse Barbecue variant into the convenience sector, following the launch of a 150g pack in supermarkets earlier this year.

The flavour will be available in 40g bags (69p) and 80g £1 price-marked packs, which the brand said meet the demand for real meat BBQ seasonings in an “underrepresented market”, which has seen a 21% year-on-year growth of sharing packs.

The new 80g price-marked packs offer the “perfect smaller sharing option” for couples and friends, whilst the 40g packs cater for those on the go or “seeking a lunchtime treat”.

Louise Thompson, marketing director at Kettle Chips, said: “Already proving popular with consumers, thanks to its bold, stimulating flavour, extending the range into smaller convenience pack formats will allow consumers to discover our new, deliciously authentic Steakhouse Barbecue seasoning and enjoy them at get togethers or even as a lunchtime treat as we welcome the warmer, more sociable months to come.

“This new seasoning now also features as part of Kettle’s James Martin’s Saturday Morning sponsorship reaching a third of UK households, and is supported by a strong social, PR and shopper marketing campaign.”
