The previous owner, Premvati Rabadia, made the decision to sell in order to focus on his other business interests.

Varsani said: “I’m very excited to take on Abram Village Store and would like to thank Christie & Co for helping us to secure the business. We look forward to becoming part of the Wigan community and we’re going to be looking at ways to ensure we’re best serving local residents over the next few months.”

Ashley Cobban, retail business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, added: “Convenience retail is an essential service, which has recently been highlighted by the global pandemic, and therefore we are seeing a significant increase in demand for these types of businesses.”

Premier Abram Convenience Store was sold off a guide price of £319,950 for the freehold interest.
