The 2,000sq ft store includes a bakery, a free ATM, Amazon Lockers and Costa coffee express, alongside food-to-go and everyday essentials.
A click-and-collect service is available from the new store and home delivery is also available in the area through Co-op’s own online shop.
Dawn Little, Co-op store manager, said: “It is very exciting to launch Co-op’s newest store, creating and safeguarding local jobs – and we are very much looking forward to serving the local community, and playing our part in local life. We have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services locally that will create a really compelling offer in the community.”
The store will open between 7am-11pm daily and run on 100% renewable electricity.
