Somerset-based retailer Tout’s is turning pink in March to celebrate local producers and support Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity.

Tout’s Langford and Tout’s Nailsea are aiming to provide a million meals to local families in need and boost their charity fund by donating 0.6% of all local product sales in both stores to their MADL fund.

Both Tout’s stores showcase local suppliers all year round, which are identified in-store by pink ‘local’ identifiers.

The independent retailer, who moved to Nisa as its wholesale supplier last year, recently re-launched as its own-brand Tout’s with a strong focus on local food suppliers.

Zena Tout, brand director, said: “The number of local suppliers coming on board is growing, with currently over 30 suppliers working with us.

“And an interesting discovery along the way is that many of the local suppliers, keen to support other local businesses, use other local ingredients that Tout’s stock for their products.”
