Kinder is launching its Animal Adventures range across Kinder Surprise and Chocolate for a second year, following last year’s South American-themed toy range.

This year 21 African wildlife toys will replace last year’s toys, made with “tailored materials and functions to improve the physical play experience”.

Eight stickers or cards will also be available within the Kinder Chocolate range; each promotional multi-pack comes with one of eight stickers (Kinder Chocolate small bars) or cards (medium bars), which “provide fun facts and stats about the featured animal.

The brand has also created an app which “brings the toys to life”. New animals to be featured include elephant, hippo, and giraffe, as well as different species of primates, wild cats, and birds of prey.

Retailers will be supported by POS tools including pre-filled shippers and countertop units, as well as “digital integration of the materials allowing shoppers to bring the toys to life in store and generate excitement at the point of purchase”.

Levi Boorer, customer development director for brand owner Ferrero UK & Ireland, said: “Shoppers responded very positively to the Animal Adventures range last year, so we are confident that the updated line up of toys, stickers and cards, alongside the eye-catching packaging and point-of-sale materials available to retailers, will appeal to families once again.”

The Animal Adventures licence will roll out on existing products from September onwards, featuring on Kinder Surprise (singles and three-packs), as well as Kinder Chocolate small bars (eight- and 16-packs) and Kinder Chocolate medium bars (six-packs).
