This feat means Scan & Save has now racked up £4.3m for retailers since launch.

Shopper savings through the app have reached £875,000 in 2023, up 31.4% on the previous year and resulting in shoppers having now saved a total of almost £1.5m through Scan & Save since its launch. This follows an increase in shoppers in 2023 of 21%.

Total scans of the app’s AR vouchers also saw an upturn of 90% on the previous year with scans hitting 1.9 million for 2023 and bringing total scan since launch to almost 3 million, demonstrating the continued growth in engagement with the Scan & Save solution as the nation fought inflation and a cost-of-living crisis through discounts.

Jisp’s work with big brands continued to grow at pace with a 41% increase in the number of brand partners trading through the Scan & Save app, and the business boasting an 81% retention rate.

Revenues from brands increased 524% in 2023 compared to the previous year.

The number of stores trading with Jisp in 2023 also saw a jump of 62% versus 2022 showing the increasing popularity of the app.

Nisa’s decision to scale up its relationship with Jisp aided growth and the company said there are high expectations of continued benefits to retailers in 2024.

Jisp said growth in the number of active users of the app and awareness of its benefits is aligned with an increased targeted marketing and communications strategy which saw around 1m targeted emails and 1.3m in app push notifications sent to users, resulting in a surge in engagement.

The final quarter of 2023 also saw Jisp’s competition-based shopper activation service Scan & Win gain significant traction.

“We delighted with how we ended 2023 and we’re looking forward to another fast start in 2024,” said Jisp’s managing director, Ilann Hepworth. “The level of growth we’ve experienced across the business has been phenomenal particularly the 327% increase in retail sales.

“It’s also pleasing that through what has been a tough year for shoppers we were able to provide savings of approaching £1m in a single year, including some strong pre-Christmas promotions to help out over the festive period.

“We’ve got lots more to come in 2024, we’re set to launch a number of global campaigns with commercial partners from this February and we have another big UK wholesale announcement following on from the launch of our wholesale platform, which we believe will be a real game changer. Watch this space!”
